In 2001 the founding members Richie Kurzontkowski, Brian Lawler, Fran Mercandante, Chuck Patton & Howie Frantz started the Bay State Chapter Antique Truck Club. The club hosted their first truck show that year at Flynn’s truck stop where they would host for another few years. Along with the annual show the group of members would get together throughout the year to talk antiques and catch up. The show moved a few times and found a long-lasting home at Worcester Sand & Gravel where Mike Trotto and family became a large part of the show & club. Members and the public alike would join in on a day at the pit looking at the 100 plus trucks that were brought in and taking walks around the property to see truck and equipment relics. In 2019 the show outgrew the property with over 160 trucks and well over 550 spectators, throughout the day. 2020 would have been the club’s first year at Bolton Fairgrounds in Lancaster, MA with a 2-day show – unfortunately, the show did not happen, but over 30-chapter members were able to get together once in May 2020 to surprise President Nancy Trotto on her 83rd birthday with a drive by truck parade. The chapter plans to host our 19th Annual Truck Show at Bolton Fair Grounds on May 15th & 16th 2021. Please reach out to Jen Santucci, Secretary, with any questions regarding the show and membership.
